Lanciata nel 2003 come successore della DB7, la DB9 è stato il primo modello ad essere costruito nel nuovo stabilimento Aston Martin di Gaydon, nel Warwickshire. Come la DB7, la DB9 è stata disegnata da Ian Callum. La DB9 è alimentata da un upgrade del motore V12 da 5,9 litri, 48 valvole, presente nella DB7 Vantage, che produce 470 CV, una potenza sufficiente per spingere l’aerodinamica cabrio da 0 a 100 km/h in 5,1 secondi, per una velocità massima di 305 km/h. Il motore in alluminio è montato il più indietro possibile nel telaio mentre la trasmissione finale è posizionata davanti all'asse posteriore, con il risultato che l'85% della massa dell'auto si trova tra gli assali per un perfetto bilanciamento dei pesi. La carrozzeria dell'auto è davvero in ottime condizioni, pari al nuovo: non ci sono difetti degni di nota, bozzi o ammaccature di cui parlare. Launched in 2003 as successor to the DB7, the DB9 was the first model to be built at Aston Martin's new factory at Gaydon, Warwickshire. Like its DB7 predecessor, the DB9 was styled by Ian Callum. The DB9 is powered by a development of the 5.9-litre, 48-valve, V12 engine found in the DB7 Vantage, which produced 470bhp, an output sufficient to propel the aerodynamic cabrio from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 305 km/h. The aluminum engine is mounted as far back as possible in the chassis while the transmission/final drive is positioned ahead of the rear axle, resulting in 85% of the car's mass being sited between the axles and a perfect 50/50 front/rear weight distribution. The car’s bodywork is very good indeed: there are no notable blemishes, dinks, dents, or creases to speak of. The ‘Mariana blue metallic' paintwork, too, is in very good condition. The lights, lenses and wheels are also impressive, as are the badging, trim and other exterior fixtures and fittings. This car shows original 56.248 km and a complete service documentation.
