La Jaguar Mk II fu costruita dal 1959 al 1969, come successore dei modelli da 2,4 e 3,4 litri prodotti tra il 1957 e il 1959. Era una berlina bella, potente e maneggevole, offerta con una scelta di tre motori a sei cilindri con albero a camme in testa; 2,4 litri, 3,4 litri o 3,8 litri. Dopo l'apprezzamento della Mk I, le MK II sono state ben accolte e considerate una macchina ancora migliore. Simile nell'aspetto ma con una superficie vetrata più ampia, vantava una carreggiata più ampia per migliorare la tenuta di strada insieme a piccole modifiche alle sospensioni anteriori per ridurre il rollio della carrozzeria e freni a disco anziché a tamburo. Guidata da tutti i migliori piloti di quegli anni, tra cui Graham Hill, Roy Salvadori e Michael Parkes, la Mk II ha ottenuto vittorie in tutte le gare di berline negli anni Sessanta e ha corso in tutta Europa, come nel Tour De France e nel Rally di Monte Carlo

The Jaguar Mk II was built from 1959 to 1969 as a successor to the 2.4 and 3.4 litre models which were manufactured between 1957 and 1959. It was a handsome, powerful and good handling saloon which was offered with a choice of three six-cylinder twin cam engines; 2.4 litre, 3.4 litre or 3.8 litre. After the appreciation of the MK I, Jaguar's successor was well received making a good car even better. Similar in appearance but with a bigger glass area, it boasted a wider track to improve road holding together with minor front suspension changes to reduce body roll and all-round disc rather than drum brakes. Raced by all the top drivers of the day including Graham Hill, Roy Salvadori and Michael Parkes, the MK II has scored victories throughout saloon car races in the sixties and was also raced across Europe in the Tour De France and Monte Carlo Rally
