Nel 1950, MG annunciò la produzione del TD. Costruita sul telaio della berlina Y-Type, presentava la precedente trasmissione della serie TC con un assale posteriore ipoide modificato, sterzo a pignone e cremagliera e la disponibilità della guida a sinistra. La produzione di TD cessò nel 1953, quando MG fece debuttare la sua sostituta, la TF. Probabilmente una delle auto di maggior successo dei veicoli MG, la serie T fu prodotta dal 1936 al 1955.
Questa bellissima MG TD del 1952 è presentata in una brillante tonalità di bianco con interni nero e capote coordinata. L'auto è alimentata da un motore a quattro cilindri con doppi carburatori SU, abbinato a un cambio manuale a quattro velocità. In 1950, MG announced the production of the TD. Built on the Y-Type saloon chassis, it featured the prior TC series drivetrain with a modified hypoid rear axle, rack-and-pinion steering, and the availability of left-hand drive. TD production ceased in 1953, when MG debuted its replacement, the TF. Arguably one of the more successful runs of MG vehicles, the T series was produced from 1936 to 1955.
This beautiful 1952 MG TD is presented in a brilliant shade of white with a black interior and convertible top. The car is powered by a four-cylinder engine with twin SU carburetors, which is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The interior features Jaeger instrumentation, banjo-style steering wheel, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.
A retro-inspired car in its day, the TD has always met a niche in the classic car market.
