La BMW Serie 3 appartiene al segmento delle auto executive ed è stata prodotta dalla casa automobilistica tedesca BMW dal 1975, ed è ora arrivata alla settima generazione della Serie 3. La terza generazione della BMW Serie 3 si chiama E36 e fu messa in vendita nell'autunno del 1990 e fu prodotta fino al 2000. Tutti i motori a sei cilindri avevano doppi alberi a camme in testa e nel 1993 fu introdotta la fasatura variabile delle valvole (VANOS). Le varianti a quattro cilindri avevano un unico albero a camme con azionamento a cinghia sulla 316i e 318i fino al 1994, quando ottennero un albero a camme con azionamento a catena. L'auto aveva anche un nuovo tipo di sospensione multi-link simile a quella della BMW Z1. La E36 fu anche la prima Serie 3 ad essere disponibile con cambio manuale a 6 marce (nella M3 del 1996), cambio automatico a 5 marce e motore diesel a quattro cilindri. Oltre alla versione compatta, la generazione BMW Serie 3 E36 era disponibile nelle versioni berlina, coupé, wagon (Touring) e cabriolet.

The BMW 3 Series belongs to the executive car segment and has been produced by the German automaker BMW since 1975, and is now in the seventh generation of the 3 Series. The third generation of the BMW 3 Series is called the E36 and went on sale in the autumn of 1990 and was produced until 2000. All six-cylinder engines had double overhead camshafts and in 1993 variable valve timing (VANOS) was introduced. The four-cylinder variants had a single belt-driven camshaft on the 316i and 318i until 1994, when they got a chain-driven camshaft. The car also had a new type of multi-link suspension similar to that of the BMW Z1. The E36 was also the first 3 Series to be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox (in the 1996 M3), a 5-speed automatic gearbox and a four-cylinder diesel engine. In addition to the compact version, the BMW 3 Series E36 generation was available in sedan, coupe, station wagon (Touring) and convertible body styles.
In particular, the BMW 318i convertible proposed here is from 1996 and is equipped with the automatic gearbox. The blue/brown leather interior color combination is interesting.
