La Porsche 944 nasce come evoluzione della 924 a listino dal 1976. Basandosi sull’estetica della versione speciale denominata 924 Carrera GT, Harm Lagaai, lo storico designer di casa Porsche, allarga i parafanghi, modernizza il resto della scocca e monta un nuovo 4 cilindri in linea da 2,5 litri derivato dal potente 8 cilindri della 928: nasce la 944 e siamo nel 1982. Il nuovo propulsore di 2479 cc è in grado di erogare 163 CV che spingono la 944 ad una velocità di punta di 220 km/h.
Nel 1985 è introdotta la versione Turbo spinta da una versione turbo compressa di 220 CV con velocità di 245 km/h. Nel 1987 è lanciata la 944 S da 190 CV e con l’occasione tutte le 944 subiscono un certo restyling con nuovo paraurti anteriore, nuova mascherina, nuovi fari supplementari rettangolari e del 1988 è la Turbo S da 250 CV.
L’esemplare proposto è una splendida 944 da 2,5 litri di cilindrata del 1986, quasi completamente in prima vernice fatta eccezione dei due parafanghi posteriori, meccanica ed interni, tutto in condizioni da concorso, come appena uscita dalla fabbrica Porsche. Un esemplare in queste condizioni non è facilmente reperibile sul mercato ed è questa l’occasione giusta per mettere in garage un’attraente Porsche molto divertente da guidare.

The Porsche 944 was born as an evolution of the 924 on the price list since 1976. Based on the aesthetics of the special version called 924 Carrera GT, Harm Lagaai, the historic Porsche designer, widened the fenders, modernized the body and fitted a new 4-cylinder 2.5 liter in-line engine derived from the powerful 8-cylinder of the 928: the 944 is born and we are in 1982. The new 2479 cc engine is capable of delivering 163 HP which pushes the 944 to a top speed of 220 km/h.
In 1985 the Turbo version was introduced powered by a compressed turbo version of 220 HP with a speed of 245 km/h. In 1987 the 190 HP 944 S was launched and on this occasion all 944s underwent a certain restyling with a new front bumper, new grille, new additional rectangular headlights and in 1988 it was the 250 HP Turbo S.
The example proposed is a cleaned 2.5-litre 944 from 1986, almost completely in first paint except for the two rear fenders; mechanics and interior, all in concours condition, as if it had just left the Porsche factory. An example in these conditions is not easily available on the market and this is the right opportunity to put an attractive Porsche, that is very fun to drive, in the garage.
