La Mk I Midget era inizialmente equipaggiata con un motore della serie A da 948 cc, che fu sostituito nel 1962 con il nuovo motore 1098. Presentava sospensioni posteriori a molla/ellittiche e freni a tamburo, che furono poi aggiornati anche nel 1962, proprio come il motore.
Nel 1964 fu presentata la Mk II Midget che presentava una manovrabilità nettamente migliorata grazie alle nuove sospensioni semiellittiche, inoltre era dotata di nuove porte con maniglie esterne cambiate e persino di finestrini avvolgibili.
Il 1966 vide l'uscita della Mk III Midget, che presentava numerosi aggiornamenti sostanziali con l'aggiunta del motore da 1275 cc derivato dalla Cooper S. Insieme a questo furono montate le ruote Rostyle e ci furono una serie di modifiche minori alla carrozzeria, inclusa l'aggiunta di archi passaruota nel 1972.
Qui viene offerto una Mk III MG Midget del 1972, quindi il modello e l'anno più desiderabili nella cronologia di MG Midget. Presenta lo stile classico dei primi Midget con paraurti cromati, combinato con la velocità derivante dal motore da 1275cc e beneficia dei vari miglioramenti di manovrabilità derivanti dai precedenti anni di sviluppo.

The Mk I Midget was initially fitted with a 948cc A-series engine, which was replaced in 1962 with the newer 1098 engine. It featured quarter elliptic rear spring suspension and drum brakes all round, which were then also upgraded in 1962 much like the engine. In 1964 the Mk II Midget was released which saw much improved handling as a result of new half elliptic suspension, it was also fitted with new doors featuring external handles and even wind-up windows. 1966 saw the release of the Mk III Midget, which featured several substantial upgrades with the addition of the Cooper S derived 1275cc engine. Along with this Rostyle wheels were fitted and there were a variety of minor body changes including the addition of round wheel arches in 1972.
Offered here is a 1973 Mk III MG Midget, arguably this is the most desirable model and year in the MG Midget timeline. It features the classic styling of early Midgets with chrome bumpers, combined with the speed of the 1275cc engine and benefitting from the various handling improvements that had stemmed from the previous years of development.
